Everything you need to know about the new build 20ft Bitumen tank
Thanks to the innovative design this rebuild bitumen tank is suited for all bitumen grades and is a very safe and efficient solution for your bitumen transportation. This flame tube bitumen tank is very suitable for intermodal transport per ship, train and truck. A used tank container with a stainless steel barrel is used as basis for the rebuild bitumen tank container. Before the modification starts the used tank is refurbished. The tank will be in good condition in regards to the barrel, frame, valves and other appendages.

Insertion off the flame tube heating system
The first step is to implement a flame tube heating system. When these pipes are installed, multiple test will done to ensure the complete integrity of the system.
Flame Tubes
New sleeves will be put in the pipes to prevent ware and tare of the original pipes. The flame tube system can reach up to a temperature -20/+230 °C and is certified by Lloyds Register and compatible with IMO/ADR/RID/USDOT regulations. The IMO2 / T3 / L2.65BN codes will be applicable.

Temperature
A new temperature meter is installed which can indicate a temperature up to 250 Degrees Celsius.

- A new 3”BSP bottom ball valve is installed. (This is the most common valve used for bitumen products. The valve is heat proof up to 300 degrees Celsius.)

Pressure relief valves are refurbished and installed. And of course set on the right settings.The manlid and other valve are fitted with new gaskets.

Walkways, cladding (50mm thick) and frame are refurbished to an acceptable level for certification and cosmetic purpose as well. All decals are replaced and the tank is painted in a black colour.
Burners & Cargo
The fully loaded tank can be heated within 10 hours. These diesel burners can be transported inside the empty tanks or transported separate when the tank in loaded.

Because bitumen tanks are rebuild from standard ISO tanks we can supply these units fast and unlimited from our depot in Moerdijk or Breda, The Netherlands. The rebuild bitumen tanks can be delivered to any port worldwide.
Certification
All our Bitumen tanks and -boxes are tested and inspected by Lloyd's Register, an independent authority that grants our products with the certificates that are needed. Because we build following the strict European quality standards, our tanks, swaps and boxes are a safe and reliable way to transport or store your bitumen.
